3/8/2006 - Almost two thirds of American adults consider themselves healthy eaters, and almost half say they try to follow some type of health-conscious diet, incorporating ‘healthy’ foods into their daily meals and snacks, says a new report.
The study, by market researcher Harris Interactive, was based on an online poll conducted last month of 1,040 adults.
The answers submitted revealed that the age and income of consumers had a significant impact on their choice of diet. 75 percent of respondents aged over 55 considered themselves to be healthy eaters, compared to 47 percent of those aged 18 to 34. And as income rose, so did attention to diet; out of those earning under $35,000, 55 percent said they followed a healthy diet, whereas the number rose to 74 percent when income was over $75,000. .....................

I have the following comments:
0) Your topic is accepted if you can concentrate on "Malaysian Chinese Food" (rather than general types of chinese food from china mainlad, or drink culture or vine culture, just concentrate on one main topic). Would you want to considere Chinese Food from Penang and Ipoh??
2) Do deliberately consider whether you want to include Drink Culture and Vine culture, as these topics can be a wide topic to research on. I would personally prefer you to research on Malaysian Chinese Food, and the target audience for your work can be focused on a certain group of target audience (not to divide then into their age group: 18-30, 31-55), you can say you want to target to "adults who concern for their healthy diet / who are interested in chinese foods, esp Malaysian Chinese Foods". This is also a way to state your target audience. In your proposal, you provide a lengthy description on your target audience, some are not relevant to be included in the proposal.
3) Overall contents to be included in your interactive product contains games (for each part of your contents), videos, forum, etc. I perceived it as various strategies you want to incorporate into your product. Why not focus on one or two and develop more details for each strategy. In short, if you want to do game approach for learning or getting to know about chinese foods, then concentrate on how the game approach, how you have level of questions incorporated into the game, and how another level of the game asks the audience to spot the difference. What do you think of GAME approach to get to know more about Malaysian Chinese Food? Is it effective and suitable to your target audience.
Alternatively, you can do an INFORMATIVE Product to present information (without considering game approach, as game approach will need some skills and good design for game too in term of how to incorporate contents into your game). Informative CD can be approach based on presenting good qualtity of multimedia information (with diagram, text, photographs, videos, interviews, experts, etc) into your CD. What do you think of this approach?
4) You can update your proposal into ONE posting in blog, and hope this guidance will make your production a good and useful one.
